Risk Assessment

For our risk assessment, there are several potential factors that could go wrong and cause harm to us actors, these include:

Possible Risks

• Cutting ourselves on bit of debris such as broken glass, pieces of ceramics such as bricks and possible narcotic items such as used needles that could possibly cause death or serious harm.
• Also, due to the sheer amount of debris and overgrowth, there is a high chance of one of us tripping up and causing injury, in the most extreme cases a broken limb.
• It is a rather secluded area that is hard for emergency services or help to reach, which could impede the injured persons escape from harm or prevent the help that they need.
• Broken limbs or bones if somebody falls off the bridge.
• Due to the nature of one of our props if a firearm, an airsoft gun, it is very unlikely but there is a chance if the gun is loaded accidently somebody could be shot and injured by it at home as we are not allowed to carry firearms in public places.
• In addition, there is a vague chance that somebody could be stabbed by a knife scene that will also be filmed at home due to its nature as an offensive weapon if it is carried by somebody.

Prevention Plans

• In all cases of potential injury that I said above, we shall be bringing along a full first aid kit to address the injuries straight away before further help arrives.
• We shall also be wearing appropriate footwear for our environment, our footwear also needs to have thick soles. 
• We will all bring communication devices such as our mobile phones so even in extreme cases we can still get help from emergency services.
• For the airsoft gun, we will make absolutely certain that it is completely unloaded for our shots and have the weapons safety on at all times alongside the battery power source removed during filming so even if it was loaded it would not go off. For the shot, we have decided for safety purposes that it will be filmed indoors at a private location away from the public so no concern nor harm can be caused to them.
• We shall also bring gel sanitizer wash if one of us desires to wash their hands as there is no adequate sanitation in the vicinity of our filming area.
